The increase in greenhouse gases have caused a warming of about 8 C, in the last century and is projected to increase over the next 100 years.

News about what is happening and what will happen are truly alarming:

• Hundreds of animals and plants are endangered. (Only in Costa Rica are known 235 species of wild animals, 87 birds, 84 amphibians, 35 reptiles, 28 mammals, in addition to 1300 plant species in danger of disappearing forever)

•  Scarcity of drinking water sources increases every day.

• Global warming has been causing serious climate changes and natural disasters: Glaciers melt (some have fallen by 25% in the last 3 decades) leading to a rise in sea levels, the causes of the rivers and supply dams are not being flooded and wiped out entire cities.

These are just some of the news: Earth is warming, climate changes have caused atmospheric disturbances and risk of natural disasters, increase the amount and intensity of cyclones and hurricanes, warm seas and disappearing species marine life, deserts are becoming drier, large areas of crops disappear, heat stimulates forest fires. These events will make millions of people to travel to some other areas, cities disappearing…
